US-based jewellery retailer Milano Diamond Gallery has selected a retail commerce solution by technology firm Cegid to carry out its international operations.

Through the deployment of the Yourcegid Retail solution, Milano Diamond Gallery intends to achieve real-time visibility into daily operations at its stores.

The Yourcegid Retail’s front-office and back-office software, including customer relationship management (CRM), inventory management and store management, will be provided to Milano Diamond’s stores.

“The solution will play an important role in supporting our global expansion.”

Milano Diamond Gallery vice-president Rahul Kheskwani said: “Our business looks forward to leveraging Yourcegid Retail Y2 for store operations, customer engagement and reporting.

“The solution will play an important role in supporting our global expansion. It also will enhance our ability to provide customers with a unique shopping experience and excellent service.”

According to Cegid, the solution enables retailers to manage their business and processes internationally while catering to local specificities.

The capability is expected to allow Milano Diamond Gallery to pursue growth opportunities while running its operations from a unified database.

The company’s New York City headquarters will leverage the capability to have a real-time view of all store-level operations and transactions.

Cegid international operations director Sylvain Jauze said: “Whether Milano is engaging with customers at a store in the Bahamas or with online shoppers anywhere in the world, the retailer will have a holistic view of all products, customer preferences and key performance indicators.”

Milano Diamond Gallery operates through a network of 43 stores in 13 countries, as well as an e-commerce site.
