Accenture has signed an agreement to acquire Kurt Salmon, a retail strategy consulting firm and unit of Management Consulting Group.

The acquisition will bolster Accenture Strategy’s capabilities in delivering end-to-end strategy consulting services to retailers.

The deal is subject to regulatory approvals, approval by Management Consulting Group’s shareholders, and other customary closing conditions.

Kurt Salmon was founded in 1935 and has more than 260 employees serving various clients worldwide.

It has offices in the US and UK, as well as Germany, Japan and China.
