Costco Wholesale Corporation has announced three public offerings of notes due 2027, 2022 and 2021 to raise $1bn, $800m and $1bn respectively.

The notes carry a rate of 3%, 2.3% and 2.15% a year respectively.

The US-based retail chain operator plans to use the funds to pay special cash dividends.

Australian start-up The Wine Gallery has raised $0.5m through a funding round led by angel and private investors.

The Wine Gallery uses a custom-built technology engine to deliver monthly wine boxes to subscribers based on their tastes.

“ITS plans to use the funds to expand its business and enter international markets.”

The company will use the funding to further improve its technology.
