Deals this week: Netflix, Farmdrop, Binary Subject Lda


Netflix has announced plans to raise €1bn ($1.07bn) through a private placement.

The US-based streaming services provider plans to use the funds towards general corporate purposes.

UK-based online grocery platform Farmdrop has raised £7m ($8.96m) in a Series A funding round led by investment firm Atomico Investment Holdings.

Farmdrop plans to use the funds to develop new technology for farmers and enhance customer experience.

Both the companies involved in the deal are based in the UK.

Binary Subject Lda (operating as 360imprimir) has secured €4m ($4.29m) in funding from investment firms Omnes Capital SAS and Pathena SGPS.

A Portugal-based online marketplace for printing products, 360imprimir intends to use the funds towards product development and international expansion.

Venture capital firm Sequoia Capital India has announced a Rs210m ($3m) investment in Genesis Colors.

Apparel designer and manufacturer Genesis will use the funds towards working capital requirements.

Both the companies involved in the transaction are based in India.

Ad Victoriam Ventures (trading as StalkBuyLove) has secured $1m in funding from Trifecta Capital, a venture debt fund.

Indian womenswear e-retailer StalkBuyLove plans to use the funds towards strengthening its supply chain.

ChannelAdvisor has formed a strategic partnership with eBay in order to create programmes that will lead to client growth for both companies.

ChannelAdvisor is an e-commerce solutions provider, while eBay is a multinational e-commerce corporation.

Both the companies involved in the transaction are based in the US.
