E-commerce retailer Amazon has extended its In-Garage Delivery service to its Prime members in more than 4,000 US cities.

Initially launched in 50 cities, Key by Amazon’s In-Garage Delivery is a secure and contactless service to deliver packages inside a customer’s garage.

Prime members can order the service with a myQ smart garage door opener app that can be linked with the Key.

Customers can receive notifications about when their packages are delivered through the Key by Amazon app or the Amazon mobile shopping app.

In addition, they can use a compatible Ring smart home camera or LiftMaster Smart Garage Camera to view the videos of their deliveries.

The expansion covers various cities and towns, including New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Philadelphia, Dallas, Washington DC, Houston, Boston, Atlanta, and Phoenix, as well as thousands of surrounding areas.

Furthermore, Amazon has announced the introduction of a new Key In-Garage Grocery Delivery service in five cities.

The new service will be expanded to other US cities later. It can be ordered by eligible Prime members.

Using the service, members can place grocery orders from Whole Foods Market or Amazon Fresh and have them securely delivered into their garage.
