M&As this week: BSN Sports, Palm Beach Tan, Premium Retail Services

BSN Sports has acquired Gulf Coast Athletic Supply (GCAS) for an undisclosed sum.

BSN Sports has acquired Gulf Coast Athletic Supply (GCAS) for an undisclosed sum.

The transaction will enable BSN Sports to fortify its growth by adding more than 200 sales professionals in key markets across the US.

Based in the US, the acquirer company directly markets and distributes sporting goods to the school and league markets, while the target company, also based in the US, distributes team apparel and equipment.

Palm Beach Tan has acquired tanning salons company Solar Dimensions for an undisclosed sum.

Solar Dimensions salons are renamed to Palm Beach Tan, as a result of the acquisition.

The acquisition is expected to help Palm Beach Tan to expand its presence in the Atlanta market.

Premium Retail Services has completed the acquisition of Premier Concepts, a Walmart merchandising company.

Based in the US, the acquirer provides retail strategy solutions and is currently serving as a preferred service provider to Walmart.

The financial terms of the acquisition have not been disclosed.

US-based grocery delivery service provider Instacart has completed the acquisition of Unata, a retail solutions provider based in Canada, with the aim of strengthening the online grocery shopping segment.

The target company’s white-label digital grocery platform will be integrated with Instacart’s technology, following the acquisition.

The integration is expected to help create a one-stop shop for brick-and-mortar retailers so that they can compete with e-commerce stores.

PetEgo has been acquired by US-based pet products manufacturer Worldwise.

Also based in the US, PetEgo designs and sells luxury stylish Italian goods for pets, whereas Worldwise makes pet products using recycled, reclaimed, renewable and certified organic resources.
