Global online marketplace eBay is set to expand its digital presence with the launch of Managed Delivery in the US in 2020.

Managed Delivery is a cost-effective fulfilment service that is designed to allow customers to shop for millions of products and have them delivered to their homes.

The company will provide the service to fulfil orders placed on eBay and other online platforms.

Sellers with high-volume inventory can use the service to cater consumer demand, as well as reduce cost and complexity.

“The implementation of this service will dramatically lessen the shipping burden on sellers, while improving the shopping experience and making unboxing fun for buyers.”

It also allows sellers to store, pack and ship their products – leveraging various warehouses through the retailer’s logistics partners.

Managed Delivery will be powered through a global technology platform and will be operated by third-party partners enabling sellers to manage their inventory through Seller Hub and other industry-standard solutions.
