Bank of America has launched a new payment option by Visa for its online banking customers and will run an initial pilot.

The new digital wallet service is expected to provide customers with ability to make secure online payments without having to enter card account number, bill-to and ship-to information everytime.

Commenting on the new service Bank of America online and mobile solutions executive David Godsman said that the bank is always focussed on security, privacy, and fraud protection at all times.

To avail this new service, the customers of the bank need to register for it vide online banking, upon which they can shop for the merchandise on the websites of the e-retailers tying up in this service.

The new service,, claims to provide the online shoppers with layers of security within Visa’s industry network.

Speaking of their e-wallet service Visa e-Commerce global head Jennifer Schulz said that the company is committed to delivering a new dimension of convenience and security, where consumers are no longer required to share personal information at checkout.
