Dutch retailer Coop Supermarkten has selected JDA Software Group’s space and category management software to optimise and customise store assortments.
The supermarket chain, which has more than 211 stores in the Netherlands, has deployed JDA Space Planning, JDA Floor Planning, and JDA Intactix Knowledge Basein in the first quarter of 2012.
With JDA’s space and floor planning solutions, the Dutch organisation can optimise and customise its store assortments to improve customer satisfaction and increase sales.
Coop Supermarkten operational commercial manager Bert Nijland said the company has chosen the JDA Space and Category Management for the quality of the products and the analytic functionality available.
"The JDA solutions will help our space managers to dedicate more time to creating planograms that are better suited to our local customer tastes and preferences, featuring more targeted, higher quality assortments and choices," Nijland added.
The supply chain management software provider said its analytic-driven platforms will help the retailer in meeting unique regional customer requirements with shelf displays and assortments aligned to shopper needs across their store formats.
JDA Software EMEA senior vice president Razat Gaurav said, "By implementing JDA Space and Category Management solutions, Coop Supermartken can benefit from an approach that rationalizes and responds to diverse shopper preferences with targeted and localized assortments that satisfy the shopping experience for its customers."
JDA global alliance member Capgemini will manage the JDA Space and Category Management solutions implementation in cooperation with Coop Supermarkten.
Coop Supermarkten’s interests are united in more than 200 modern supermarkets operating under CoopCompact, Coop and Supercoop names.
