Brazil Fast Food has reported 8% rise in its Q2 2012 total revenues to BRL55.1m ($27.3m), compared to BRL51m ($25.3m) in the corresponding quarter a year ago.

The company’s system-wide sales for the second quarter of fiscal 2012 were BRL254.2m ($126m), up 22.3%, from the corresponding quarter of 2011.

Its operating income was BRL5m ($2.5m), while operating margin in the second quarter of 2012 improved to 9.1%, compared to 7.9% in the same quarter of fiscal 2011.

For the first six months of fiscal 2012, the company posted a 9.1% increase in its total revenues to BRL115.6m ($57.3m), compared to BRL105.9m ($52.5m) in 2011.

Brazil Fast Food net income for the three-month period ended 30 June 2012 was BRL3.6m ($1.8m), up 10.6% from net income of BRL3.3m ($1.7m) for the same three-month period last year.

In May 2012, the company had acquired Yoggi do Brasil Ltda (Yoggi) which operates a franchise network of frozen yogurt in Brazil since 2008 with 48 franchised point of sales and 43 franchisees.

Brazil Fast Food operates under Yoggi brand; KFC and Pizza Hut São Paulo as franchisee of Yum! Brands; and Doggis as franchisee of Gastronomia & Negocios.

Brazil Fast Food CEO Ricardo Figueiredo Bomeny said, "At the end of 2012, we expect Bobs’ brand to reach a total of 1000 points of sale."

Incorporated in 1992 in Delaware, the restaurant chain currently has 963 points of sale.
