Deals this week: Happigo Home Shopping, ICA Gruppen, Elanic Services
Happigo Home Shopping intends to raise CNY2bn ($301.22m) through a private placement of shares.
The proceeds are intended to be used for fund acquisition fees and projects.
Based in China, Happigo is a multi-channel e-retailer.
ICA Gruppen AB plans to sell 17 of its stores in Lithuania.
The deal will enable the company to address the Lithuania Competition Authority’s concerns about certain geographical areas in connection to a proposed acquisition of UAB Palink.
ICA Gruppen owns and operates hypermarkets, supermarkets, pharmacies and convenience stores.
Elanic Services Private has received funding from DG Incubation.
Elanic Services is an online platform for selling used goods, while DG Incubation is the investment arm of Japan-based Digital Garage.
Toys R Us has partnered with Mirakl to create a new online marketplace to sell its toys to US customers.
The website will also feature its other business Babies R Us.
Toys R Us aims to enhance its product offerings in the US and Canada through the new channel. It will also achieve a lower time-to-market for new merchandise.
