American retailer Ollie’s Bargain Outlet has expanded into the city of Omaha, Nebraska with a new store, which will support 50 to 60 new jobs.

The store, situated on 72nd Street in the former Big Lots space, offers a wide range of discounted brand name products.

In February 2025, Ollie’s Bargain Outlet reached an agreement with Gordon Brothers to acquire an additional 40 former Big Lots store leases across the US. This acquisition brings the company’s total to 63 Big Lots store leases acquired.

Ollie’s Bargain Outlet CEO and president Eric van der Valk stated: “We are excited to open our first store in the great state of Nebraska, where the folks have been so good to us.

“With so many great deals, we’re thrilled to provide shoppers in Omaha and its surrounding areas with a treasure hunt experience where they can find a huge selection of brand name merchandise at up to 70% off the fancy stores’ prices every day.”

The retail brand has launched 25 new stores in the first quarter of 2025, including 18 locations previously owned by Big Lots.
