The companies said the expanded arrangement will strengthen both technical integration and commercial collaboration, linking EWQ’s ScanToPair software with SOLUM’s Newton ESL and digital signage hardware portfolio.

ScanToPair pairs products with digital displays via barcode scanning, keeping product and pricing data synchronised across in-store screens.

The joint offering is designed to enhance pricing accuracy, simplify store processes and enable consistent customer engagement across retail environments.

SOLUM Europe Nordics country manager Gisle Elvebakken said: “This expanded collaboration reflects the openness of SOLUM’s ecosystem and our commitment to working with strong partners to deliver the best possible solutions to retailers.

“By integrating our hardware leadership with EWQ’s advanced software capabilities, we are supporting retailers in building scalable and future-ready digital infrastructures.”

Under the partnership, SOLUM will supply the hardware layer while EWQ will provide the software components through ScanToPair and the EWQ ZONE platform.

The integrated system uses a modular microservices architecture.

It allows retailers to control pricing, digital content and shopper flow across multiple store touchpoints through a single scalable interface.

The partners plan to prioritise the Nordic region in the initial phase, drawing on EWQ’s established presence there.

EWQ CEO Sampo Brisk said: “We believe retail environments should evolve into connected zones where brands and customers interact seamlessly. Expanding our partnership with SOLUM enables us to integrate digital touchpoints in a way that enhances customer experience while delivering measurable operational value for retailers.”
