Property consultancy Newmark acted as sole adviser on the deals, supporting the rollout through a strategy focused on prime locations and negotiated lease structures aimed at long-term viability.
Site selection drew on historical sales data from when the stores operated under previous ownership.
The six locations form the opening phase of a wider rollout targeting more than 200 stores across the country, with a further 19 openings planned before the end of 2026.
Bodycare collapsed into administration in September 2025, overwhelmed by a combination of elevated operating costs, high rental commitments and weakening footfall.
Tracing its roots to the 1970s, the retailer was subsequently acquired by a new entity headed by The Body Shop’s former CEO Charles Denton, with a stated aim of restoring the brand to a national retail footprint.
Bodycare managing director David Stern said: “Since the acquisition of Bodycare, the team has reimagined both the in-store experience and the brand’s digital presence.”
The relaunched business is introducing a format called “Bodycare Studio” across its first 25 stores.
The concept blends in-store retail with experiential features, including demonstration zones, digital screens, live broadcast studios and dedicated creator spaces, alongside a broader focus on local community engagement and operational improvement.
Newmark executive managing director David Purslow said: “Bodycare is executing a compelling retail strategy – moving at pace but with clear direction and a disciplined approach which sets it up for success. Our priority is to ensure the property strategy underpins the brand’s momentum as it scales nationally.”
