Notably, future of work was one of the most frequently referenced themes in Q1 2024, ranking highest in terms of mentions, ahead of social and cloud, according to GlobalData.
Of the top leading companies in the retail industry, Walmart had the greatest increase in references for future of work in Q1 2024, compared with the previous quarter. GlobalData identified 18 future of work-related sentences in the company's filings - 1% of all sentences - and an increase of 350% in Q1 2024 compared with Q1 2023. Koninklijke Ahold Delhaize’s mentions of future of work dropped by 67% to 17 and George Weston’s by 200% to 6 and Loblaw Companies’s by 67% to 5 and Next’s by 400% to 5.
