A total of 96 deals worth $4.12bn were announced in Q3 2020, compared to the last four-quarter average of 130 deals.

M&A was the leading category in the quarter with 46 deals which accounted for 47.9% of all deals.

In second place was venture financing with 36 deals, followed by private equity with 14 transactions, respectively accounting for 37.5% and 14.6% of overall deal activity in the country’s consumer industry during the quarter.
