Grocery retailer Aldi has initiated the construction of its third distribution hub in Poland, enhancing its logistical footprint within the region.
The new 43,000m² Polish facility is taking shape at a Warsaw business park called CTPark Warsaw Emilianów and will commence operations in the first quarter of 2026.
Designed to support Aldi’s supply chain, the distribution centre will incorporate a specialised refrigeration area that will manage 25% of the company’s temperature-sensitive deliveries.
The hub will feature close to 90 unloading ramps, reducing delivery times for stores in Polish regions such as Mazowieckie, Warmińsko-Mazurskie, Podlaskie, Łódzkie and Lubelskie.
This strategic positioning is expected to alleviate the workload on existing centres in Bydgoszcz and Chorzów.
In addition to logistical enhancements, the distribution centre will be fitted with advanced fire safety systems that surpass conventional requirements, including mechanisms for smoke extraction from freezer areas.
