As reported by Reuters, Amazon Brasil’s shopping experience director Fernanda Grumach told a press conference that the company is considering a wider rollout.
The move comes as competition in Brazil’s e-commerce sector has increased in recent years, with rivals such as MercadoLibre and Shopee active in the market.
According to the report, the US retail major said Amazon Now will provide free delivery to Prime members in Brazil.
Non-members will be charged a delivery fee of 5.49 reais ($1.04), and the company added that no service fee will be applied for an unspecified period.

Amazon entered Brazil in the early 2010s and said it has invested 55bn reais in the country since then.
Elsewhere, the retailer has also been adjusting its approach in developing markets.
The company announced earlier this week that it will scrap referral fees in India on items priced below Rs1,000 ($10.94) from 16 March, affecting more than 125 million products.
The change follows last year’s waiver, which covered over 12 million products priced under Rs300 across 135 categories.
Amazon India said the updated fee structure could reduce total selling fees by as much as 70% for merchants.
In Europe, Amazon recently expanded its Seller Wallet service to seven marketplaces, including Belgium, Germany, Ireland, the Netherlands and Spain, extending the funds management tool beyond its initial launch in the US.
