US recreational vehicle retailer Camping World has appointed its current president, Matthew Wagner, as its new CEO.
Wagner assumes the CEO position on 1 January 2026, as longtime postholder Marcus Lemonis prepares to step down.

Wagner will also join the company’s board of directors.
He has been president of Camping World since July 2024, having served as chief operating officer from January 2023 to July 2024.
He joined the retailer in 2007 and has held senior posts including executive vice-president and senior vice-president for sales, marketing and corporate development.

Lemonis will retire as CEO, chairman and board member at the end of 2025, and will remain with the business as co-founder and special advisor.
In a separate governance change, Brent Moody will become chairman of the board of directors from 1 January 2026.
Moody added: “On behalf of the board, we thank Marcus for his original vision and execution for more than two decades.
“He has been the driving force in building Camping World into the world’s largest RV [recreational vehicle] retailer. Marcus has been a tireless and trusted mentor, coworker and friend of mine for over 23 years, I know that he has the utmost confidence in Matt, and I look forward to him remaining a trusted advisor to the company.”
Moody has sat on Camping World’s board of directors since May 2018 and has served as vice-chairman since May 2025.
He brings more than 22 years of experience with the company, during which he has held several leadership roles, including those of president and chief operating and legal officer.
Camping World Holdings, headquartered in Lincolnshire in the US state of llinois, sells recreational vehicles along with associated products and services, and operates RV sales and service locations in 44 US states.
