US-based CrossAmerica Partners has appointed Maura Topper as president and CEO of its general partner, CrossAmerica GP.
CrossAmerica GP oversees the management and daily running of the wholesale fuel distributor and convenience store operator.

Commenting on the appointment, Topper said: “I appreciate the trust that the Board has placed in me to lead CrossAmerica as its president and CEO.
“Thanks to the dedication of our entire team and the strength of our business, the Partnership will continue on its successful trajectory as it enters this exciting new chapter.”
Topper, who currently serves as CFO of CrossAmerica GP, succeeds Charles Nifong.
Alongside stepping down as president and CEO, Nifong will also resign from the board of directors of the general partner. He has held these positions since 19 November 2019.

By GlobalDataAs of 2 March 2026, he will join the executive management team at Dunne Manning Holdings, an affiliate of the general partner and related entities controlled by Joseph V Topper Jr, founder of CrossAmerica and chairman of the board.
Established in 2014, Dunne Manning and its affiliated businesses oversee a diversified portfolio of real estate assets, investments and other business interests on behalf of the Topper family office.
Topper has served as CFO of CrossAmerica GP since 11 August 2021.
Before that appointment, she was vice president and CFO of Dunne Manning.
She also sat on the board from the partnership’s initial public offering in 2012 until October 2014, and rejoined in November 2019, continuing in that capacity to the present.
In a further leadership change, Jonathan Benfield, currently chief accounting officer of the partnership’s subsidiary entities, has been named interim CFO of the general partner.
