US-based retailer CVS Pharmacy has confirmed plans to provide a nationwide next-day service to directly deliver prescriptions to patients.
Beginning in early next year, the retailer intends to directly supply the prescriptions to the customers from its locations across the country.

Selected US cities will also offer same-day delivery, which enables customers to keep all of their pharmacy needs with a single partner.
CVS Pharmacy president and CVS Health executive vice-president Helena Foulkes said: “Our goal is to meet the needs of all of our customers wherever, however and whenever they want.
“Providing same and next-day options for delivery of medications is just another way we can help our patients get and stay healthy.”
Slated to commence on 4 December this year, the retail pharmacy will provide a free same-day delivery service from all locations in Manhattan.

By GlobalDataFoulkes added: “People living and working in Manhattan have busy lives and there are days when they don’t even have time to run down the street to their pharmacy to pick up a prescription.
“Same-day prescription delivery gives customers the easy option of having the pharmacy they trust deliver right to their front door at no cost.”
In addition, prescriptions and a curated selection of over-the-counter products will be supplied in secure, tamper-proof packaging directly in order to ensure complete privacy.
Early next year, CVS Pharmacy’s same-day delivery service will be extended to Miami, Boston, Philadelphia, Washington DC, and San Francisco.
The new delivery options will enhance the retailer’s national network of solutions that would provide the customers with additional flexibility to shop according to their feasibility.
In addition, CVS Pharmacy continues to expand its partnership with Instacart to offer personal shopping at 2,600 stores across the US for delivery of products such as healthy food choices, beauty products and over-the-counter medications.
