
US-based discount store chain Dollar General has partnered Uber Eats for on-demand deliveries of household essentials across the country.
The partnership is set to bring more than 14,000 Dollar General and pOpshelf locations to the Uber Eats platform.
The deliveries commenced on 8 August 2025 and will continue to expand.
Customers can order essentials, food items and goods to be delivered directly to their doors, either on-demand or scheduled through the Uber Eats app.
Dollar General chief marketing officer Tony Rogers stated: “Our customers will enjoy even greater convenience through our Uber Eats partnership, accessing everything from food to essential household items, saving them valuable time and money.
“Providing communities with affordable, fresh and accessible food options delivered right to their front door is aligned with our mission of Serving Others.”

By GlobalDataUsers can open the Uber Eats app, navigate to the grocery or convenience categories, search for Dollar General or pOpshelf, and browse available products.
They can then choose their preferred delivery time and track their order in real-time until it arrives.

In July 2025, John Lewis partnered Uber Eats to introduce a pilot programme, offering a rapid delivery service for customers looking for nursery, premium beauty and gifting items.
In June, Dick’s Sporting Goods teamed up with Uber Technologies for on-demand or scheduled delivery of its wide range of sporting goods via Uber Eats.
