IKEA has increased the number of US stores it intends to open in 2026 to ten, adding four new sites in Chicago, Tulsa, Fort Collins, and Los Angeles to the six already disclosed locations.
The additional outlets will include a city-centre store in Culver City, Los Angeles, and the retailer’s first Oklahoma location in Tulsa.

They will also include a site at Gurnee Mills in the Chicago area and a store in Fort Collins, complementing their existing Colorado locations in Centennial and Colorado Springs.
The expansion update accompanied IKEA US’s FY25 annual summary, covering 1 September 2024 to 31 August 2025.
The company reported US sales of $5.3bn for the period, including $1.9bn from e-commerce.

According to the press statement, stores recorded nearly 61 million visitors, while online channels drew more than 457 million visits.
During FY25, IKEA launched 14 new US retail locations, including smaller-format stores in Arcadia, California, and San Marcos, Texas.
It also introduced nine plan-and-order points with integrated pickup in markets such as Charlotte, North Carolina; Roseville, Minnesota; and Ontario and Colma, California.
The retailer also invested in digital systems and fulfilment, including automation, drones and a new delivery management platform, and increased the share of zero-emission deliveries to 49% year-on-year.
