
Lagardère Travel Retail has made key executive appointments to bolster its operations in Latin America and the Pacific.
Miguel Ruiz will become CEO of Lagardère Travel Retail Peru from 1 August 2025, succeeding Cyril Letocart, who transitioned to become CEO of Lagardère Travel Retail New Zealand on 1 July.
Laura Perron stepped into the role of chief commercial, digital and marketing officer for Lagardère Travel Retail New Zealand on 15 July.
Cyril Letocart’s tenure with Lagardère Travel Retail included business development and subsequent positions in the Middle East and Africa before his appointment as CEO of the Peruvian division in 2022.
As incoming CEO for the New Zealand operation, Letocart will oversee business activities at Auckland International Airport where Lagardère recently secured an eight-year duty-free retail contract.
Letocart stated: “As I take on the role of CEO in Auckland, I’m eager to put my recent experience to good use and, together with our team, shape a bold new vision for duty free in Auckland.”

His previous role as commercial director for the company’s Peruvian branch saw him enhance brand offerings and initiate new lines in Travel Essentials and Foodservice. He also played a significant part in commercial discussions for Lima Airport’s new terminal.
Ruiz stated: “As I step into the role of CEO, my priority is to stabilise our operations since the recent opening and empower our people to drive the next phase of growth for Lagardère Travel Retail in Latin America.”
Laura Perron’s background with Lagardère Travel Retail spans international markets including Switzerland and France.
Her recent contributions include directing Foodservice initiatives in Chile and Peru and spearheading business development throughout South America. Her involvement was pivotal during the launch phase in Lima, Peru.
Perron stated: “I now look forward to advancing our commercial strategy and driving innovation to support our development in the Pacific.”
