Ikea has recalled the Lattjo bat cape costume over concerns that it could either injure or strangle children.
The bat costume was sold across its stores in all countries except Russia and Indonesia.

The costume was also available on its website from November 2015 until February this year.
Ikea has received complaints from customers that the Lattjo cape caused marks to the necks of three children.
The retailer recalled the bat cape as the fabric hook and loop fastener at the neck may not detach easily during use, thereby posing a risk of strangulation.
However, it has not received any reports of permanent injury.

By GlobalDataIn a statement, the company was quoted by The Guardian as saying: "Ikea is recalling Lattjo bat capes after reports about three children that have received marks and scratches on the neck while using Lattjo bat capes.
"The cape got stuck and didn’t detach easily enough from the children’s necks.
"No injuries which required medical treatment have been reported but, due to the risk of strangulation or injuries to the neck, Ikea takes precautionary measures and recalls the product.
"Ikea apologises for any inconvenience this may cause."
IKEA has voluntary isssued a recall to prevent injuries.
