Tokmanni Group’s Swedish discount chain Dollarstore will open two new Dollarstore outlets and one Big Dollar store in 2025, with further launches across Sweden and Denmark in 2026.
Agreements have been signed for new Dollarstore sites in Kållered in Gothenburg, Kungälv, Valbo in Gävle, and Upplands Väsby.

Previously announced openings include Gamlestaden and Sisjön in Gothenburg, the Väla shopping centre in Helsingborg, and Kiruna, and a relocation to new premises in Backaplan, Gothenburg.
In Denmark, Big Dollar stores will open in Guldborgsund, Haderslev and Holsterbro, alongside the previously announced Ringsted site.
The Sisjön store will open on 28 November 2025, followed by Gamlestaden on 11 December.
Backaplan is set for late January to early February 2026, with Kållered planned for spring.

By GlobalDataHelsingborg and Kiruna are expected in summer 2026 and Kungälv, Valbo and Upplands Väsby between late summer and autumn 2026.
In Denmark, Guldborgsund will open in late November 2025, Ringsted in January 2026, and Haderslev and Holsterbro in the autumn.
Dollarstore and Big Dollar have recently added Finnish private-labels BBQ King, Energy+, Future TT Sport, Iisi, Kotikulta, Miny and Parco across Sweden and Denmark.
The group is also expanding in Finland, with a new store in Jokela, Tuusula, and a relocation in Nilsiä, Kuopio in November 2025..

Headquartered in Mäntsälä, Finland, Tokmanni operates 388 stores across Finland, Sweden and Denmark and employs more than 6,000 people.
It generated revenue of €1.67bn ($1.94bn) in 2024 and comparable earnings before interest and taxation of €100m.
The group operates under multiple brand names in various countries. In Finland it is represented by Tokmanni; in Sweden it trades as Dollarstore, which it acquired in 2023, and in Denmark it trades as Big Dollar.
Dollarstore, founded in 1994, runs 137 Swedish stores and 10 in Denmark under the Big Dollar name, employing 2,000 people.
