German online fashion retailer Zalando posted higher third quarter (Q3) 2025 earnings and announced a new partnership with the German Football Federation (DFB) to strengthen its position in the sportswear segment.
In Q3, the company’s gross merchandise volume (GMV) rose 21.6% from a year earlier to €4.2bn ($4.84bn), while revenue increased 26.5% year-on-year to €3bn.

The figures were largely influenced by the acquisition of Hamburg-based About You, which was formally combined with Zalando in July 2025.
On a pro-forma basis, assuming About You had been part of the group in the previous year, Zalando’s gross merchandise volume grew 6.7% and revenue climbed 7.5%.
The retailer’s adjusted earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) rose to €96m from €93m a year ago.
The integration of About You and the execution of its ecosystem strategy have expanded its customer base to 61.4 million active users across Europe.

Zalando co-CEO David Schröder stated: “The third quarter demonstrates how we are relentlessly executing our strategy to embrace the immense opportunities in front of us and to capture profitable growth across both B2C [business-to-customer] and B2B [business-to-business].
“The exciting new partnership with the German Football Federation DFB will allow us to boost our sports business further and to build an unparalleled sports experience for our customers, while our high-calibre B2B partnerships showcase the superior value that we are able to deliver for brands and retailers with our unique e-commerce operating system.”
In its B2C operations, Zalando signed a five-year strategic agreement with the DFB, becoming a main partner of the men’s, women’s and youth national teams until 2030.
The company has also extended its sports and lifestyle presence through partnerships with the marathons in Rotterdam, the Netherlands and Copenhagen, Denmark, and by continuing as main sponsor of the Berlin Marathon in the Germany.
Within the B2B segment, Zalando reported notable enterprise deals under its ZEOS operating system, including an expanded fulfilment partnership with Marks & Spencer covering all continental European e-commerce operations.
The company’s B2B division generated revenue of €277m in Q3, representing a 15.6% year-on-year increase, with adjusted EBIT reaching €20m.
For the full year 2025, Zalando expects pro-forma GMV and revenue growth between 4% and 7%, adjusted EBIT in the range of €550m to €600m, and capital expenditures of €200m to €280m.
In September 2025, Zalando appointed Anna Dimitrova as its new chief financial officer from 1 January 2026.
