France’s consumer watchdog has fined Shein €40m for using inflated reference prices to mislead shoppers about discounts.
The lawsuit claims the act unfairly forces NRF members to “impugn their pro-consumer practices”.
The store rotation and renewal programme comprises the launch of 16 new stores, nine extensions and 12 renewals.
Waitrose was the “priciest supermarket” once again, with its basket £47.12 more than Aldi.
Greggs opened 87 new shops, resulting in a net increase of 31 outlets and bringing its total to 2,649.
The success of the trial will determine whether the test phase continues beyond the initial five months.
