Counterfeit banknotes removed from circulation in the UK more than doubled in 2025, reaching their highest level in years, according to the Bank of England.
The company is offering 14.06 million shares of common stock priced between $15 and $17 apiece.
The company did not sufficiently assess whether it had enough staff to review potentially illegal listings, and it overstated the effectiveness of its detection and removal systems.
Retailers and consumers can use the Bank of England’s “look, feel and check” method to identify genuine UK banknotes and spot potential counterfeit notes.
This marks only the third time since 2007 that the retail sector has recorded more warnings in the second quarter than the first.
The company attributed top line growth to double-digit gains in grocery, fashion and lifestyle, and consumer electronics.
Regionally, EMEIA was the weak spot, down 3%, a result Burberry attributed to fallout from the Middle East conflict and reduced tourist spending.
