DESPAR Italia has expanded its footprint in the country with the launch of seven new stores.  

The new stores cover both the DESPAR and DESPAR Express formats. 

A new DESPAR Express store opened in Vitulano, providing a variety of DESPAR Own Brand offerings.

Two new DESPAR Express stores have opened in San Lorenzo and Caraffa del Bianco, Calabria, offering daily-use products to customers.
 
A new DESPAR Express in Calliano Monferrato stocks products from local suppliers.
 
Along with DESPAR Express, three new DESPAR Supermarkets have also opened across different regions in Italy.

In Trieste, a new store brings the number of DESPAR Italia branded outlets in the province to 30.

It stocks more than 3,500 products, including fresh produce, bakery items, and a delicatessen section along with pizzeria. 
 
In Cirò Marina, Calabria, a new DESPAR Supermarket sells a range of groceries while a store in Refrancore is designed to serve local consumer preferences.
 
In July 2024, DESPAR Italia consortium members Nord Ovest and Centro Sud reopened SPAR Supermarkets and INTERSPAR Hypermarkets following major renovations.

DESPAR Nord Ovest re-opened the DESPAR Supermarket in Piazza De Amicis, Turin, while the INTERSPAR Hypermarket in Policoro also reopened with a modernised appearance and sustainable innovations. 

In May 2024, DESPAR Italia expanded its network with the opening of eight new stores in the Central South region, including seven DESPAR supermarkets and one EUROSPAR supermarket.
