DESPAR Italia (SPAR Italy), together with the six companies forming its consortium, has extended its retail network across the country with 10 new outlets and the reopening of two modernised stores across different formats. 

The DESPAR Express convenience format registered multiple additions, including new stores in Tor Bella Monaca, Rome and Acquaformosa in Calabria, both offering product selections suited to local consumer needs.  

A new DESPAR Express outlet in Serramanna provides a range of seasonal fruit and vegetables, a delicatessen section and DESPAR Own Brand items. 

A new DESPAR supermarket and DESPAR Express store have opened In Brancaleone, featuring expanded product ranges and layouts that enhance accessibility. 

The company has also opened four new DESPAR supermarkets and completed one renovation project.  

A new supermarket in San Paolo Civitate offers a broader selection of goods and services, with two new supermarkets established in the province of Potenza.  

A supermarket in Nurri, Sardinia, focuses on fresh produce including fruit, vegetables and cold cuts.  

The DESPAR supermarket in Mazzarrone, Sicily has been fully redesigned. 

Two INTERSPAR hypermarket developments have also been completed.  

A new INTERSPAR store in Triggiano offers an extensive range of food and non-food products, while the redeveloped INTERSPAR hypermarket in Bassano del Grappa has been upgraded with a redesigned layout and a wider product selection. 

The latest openings and refurbishments mark continued expansion and modernisation within DESPAR Italia’s national retail network. 

Seven new stores, covering both the DESPAR and DESPAR Express formats, opened in September 2025 as DESPAR Italia expanded its footprint in the country.
