US supermarket chain Giant Eagle has completed the sale of its GetGo convenience store chain to global convenience store operator Alimentation Couche-Tard.
The strategic move allows Giant Eagle to concentrate on expanding its primary supermarket and pharmacy operations across more than 200 locations.
The transaction encompasses 270 GetGo and WetGo locations.
The myPerks loyalty programme will proceed uninterrupted for customers, offering rewards and exclusive deals at both Giant Eagle and GetGo stores.
Giant Eagle and Couche-Tard will sustain and grow the myPerks loyalty programme, and those enrolled in myPerks Pay Direct and AdvantagePAY will continue to receive instant fuel discounts at GetGo stations.
Giant Eagle president and CEO Bill Artman stated: "The sale of the GetGo business marks an important moment in Giant Eagle's history.

The sale of GetGo was supported by Matrix Capital Markets Group, acting as Giant Eagle's primary financial advisor, with Centerview Partners providing additional financial advice.
Legal counsel for Giant Eagle was provided by Weil, Gotshal & Manges, with Troutman Pepper Locke acting as local counsel.
Winthrop & Weinstine served as the primary legal advisor for the sale of Giant Eagle's wholesale fuel business.
In June 2025, Giant Eagle integrated Manhattan Associates’ Manhattan Active Warehouse Management (WM) system at its more than one million ft² Bedford Heights, Ohio facility to enhance its logistics network through automated technology.
