Reliance Retail has finalised the purchase of the Pahadi Local brand and its business from Pahadi Goodness Private Limited, adding to its footprint in India’s beauty and wellness market.
Pahadi Local is described in the press statement as an Indian brand focused on nature-led formulations inspired by Himalayan ingredients.

Its product range is positioned around traditional wellness practices from the region alongside “modern formulation science”.
Following the acquisition, Pahadi Local’s founding team will remain involved in the brand’s creative direction, product development and underlying philosophy.
Reliance Retail said it intends to grow the brand through its omnichannel retail system, including its physical store network, digital commerce capabilities and supply chain infrastructure.
The company also outlined plans to widen the brand’s presence across retail formats, build its online reach and speed up product development.

By GlobalDataThe press statement noted that Pahadi Local works with women-led self-help groups in Ladakh and Himachal Pradesh to support local livelihoods, and runs initiatives linked to healthcare, education and environmental preservation.
It also highlighted apricot kernel oil as a key ingredient, stating it has received recognition in the industry and among consumers.
