Instacart retail partnerships vice-president Blake Wallace said: “We are excited to bring Tractor Supply’s trusted assortment of home, animal, and yard products to Instacart customers across the country.

“Tractor Supply is a beloved brand with a broad reach that serves customers in communities of all kinds, and with Instacart, those customers can get what they need delivered to their door in as fast as an hour.”

According to the companies, the partnership aims to extend delivery reach into rural areas, given that many Tractor Supply stores are located away from major cities.

It is intended to close “last-mile” delivery shortfalls for shoppers who depend on Tractor Supply for products such as pet food and livestock feed, according to the companies.

The speciality retailer’s range available through the service spans pet food, treats, toys, and grooming and healthcare products for dogs, cats and small animals, in addition to feed and supplements, among other lines.

Tractor Supply’s addition brings the Instacart Marketplace to more than 2,200 national and local retail banners.

Tractor Supply senior vice-president and digital and e-commerce president Matthew Rubin added: “Our partnership with Instacart provides customers with another seamless way to shop Tractor Supply, combining the products they trust with the speed and convenience of Instacart delivery.”

Earlier this year, Instacart acquired fulfilment and enablement solutions platform Instaleap to expand its enterprise retail technology offering across Europe, Latin America and the Middle East.

That transaction was intended to strengthen Instacart’s activities beyond North America and expedite the international rollout of its enterprise technology products.

Instaleap provides fulfilment and enablement tools aimed at helping retailers operate and grow online grocery services, including marketplace integrations and fulfilment capabilities.
