SOLUM has won new electronic shelf label (ESL) business in Australia, extending deployments with electronics retailer Bing Lee and supplying digital pricing infrastructure to The Natural Grocery Company.
The South Korea-headquartered retail technology provider said the projects mark a further expansion of its presence in Oceania, as retailers in different segments look to automate price changes, improve shelf-edge accuracy and reduce store labour tied to paper ticketing.

Bing Lee is rolling out Solum’s ESL technology across additional stores as part of its store modernisation programme.
The retailer is using the system to replace manual paper-based price updates, with the aim of improving pricing consistency and operational efficiency across its estate.
At The Natural Grocery Company, Solum has installed ESLs to support instant price adjustments and faster execution of promotions.
The deployment is also intended to free staff from repetitive label replacement tasks so they can spend more time on customer service and in-store operations.
Solum said its platform enables product and pricing information to be managed centrally and pushed to shelves remotely in real time.
That model is designed to cut pricing errors, reduce time spent on manual updates and lower paper waste.
Solum Australia general manager Paul Kyriakos said: “Through our partnership with Bing Lee, we are proud to contribute to the retailer’s store modernisation efforts. For The Natural Grocery Company, our ESL solution supports real-time pricing, rapid promotional updates, and greater pricing accuracy.
“A premium shopping experience is built not only on product quality, but also on a store environment that responds quickly and accurately to both retailer and customer needs.”
The Australian wins follow SOLUM’s broader push to link its shelf-edge technology with retail execution systems.
In April, the company partnered with fulfilment software specialist Rynly to connect its Newton ESL platform with in-store picking workflows, allowing shelf labels to guide staff through orders using pick-by-light functionality.
That agreement targeted grocers and convenience retailers managing rising volumes of click-and-collect, same-day delivery and marketplace orders.
