Notably, customer loyalty was one of the most frequently referenced themes in Q4 2023, ranking highest in terms of mentions, ahead of niche tourism and online travel, according to GlobalData.
Of the top leading companies in the retail industry, Alimentation Couche-Tard had the greatest increase in references for customer loyalty in Q4 2023, compared with the previous quarter. GlobalData identified 21 customer loyalty-related sentences in the company's filings - 3% of all sentences - and an increase of 950% in Q4 2023 compared with Q4 2022. Metro’s mentions of customer loyalty rose by 50% to 12 and Ulta Beauty’s by 71% to 12.
