The value marked a decrease of 37.8% over the previous month of $2.09bn and a drop of 45.8% when compared with the last 12-month average, which stood at $2.4bn.

Comparing venture financing deals value in different regions of the globe, Asia-Pacific held the top position, with total announced deals in the period worth $658.46m. At the country level, the US topped the list in terms of deal value at $516.65m.

In terms of volumes, Asia-Pacific emerged as the top region for consumer industry venture financing deals globally, followed by North America and then Europe.

The top country in terms of venture financing deals activity in March 2022 was the US with 56 deals, followed by the China with 25 and India with 22.

In 2022, as of March, consumer venture financing deals worth $6.01bn were announced globally, marking an increase of 40.2% year on year.
