The value marked an increase of 3.13% over the previous month of $446.04m and a drop of 14.01% when compared with the last 12-month average of $535.99m.
North America held a 44.00% share of the global consumer industry venture financing deal value that totalled $1.05bn in January 2021. With a 43.48% share and deals worth $456.58m, the US was the top country in North America’s venture financing deal value across consumer industry.
In terms of venture financing deal activity, North America recorded 43 deals during January 2021, marking a decrease of 14.00% over the previous month and a drop of 15.69% over the 12-month average. The US recorded 39 deals during the month.
