E-commerce solutions provider Azoya has announced a joint programme with UnionPay International to introduce online retailers to the latter’s cardholders through a cross-border marketing platform.
U Plan is an open cross-border marketing platform to be launched by a bankcard organisation and includes a digital alliance of banking applications, Online Travel Agency (OTA) services, deal websites, airlines and online influencers.
All companies provide multiple marketing channels for overseas retailers.
Through the new U Plan platform, five of Azoya’s retail partners from the UK, Australia and Germany are able to launch promotions and drive sales during the Black Friday online shopping festival this week.
Alongside Amazon Japan and other international ecommerce businesses, Azoya’s retail partners, including Feelunique (UK) and Pharmacy Online (Australia), are participating in the programme.
Azoya co-founder and executive director Don Zhao said: “Finding the best ways to reach online shoppers is an ongoing challenge for international retailers looking to crack into the Chinese market, as cross-border ecommerce continues to skyrocket.
“By deepening our partnership with UnionPay, we’re helping increase the opportunities international retailers have to promote their businesses and drive revenue growth in the market.”
The U Plan platform will help global retailers ease their entry into the Chinese market, grow market awareness and accurately target customers.
