Bealls selects Oracle Retail Cloud for digital transformation

American retailer Bealls has partnered with technology major Oracle to implement new retail technologies to continue its digital transformation plans.

American retailer Bealls has partnered with technology major Oracle to implement new retail technologies to continue its digital transformation plans.

The new retail technologies are Oracle Retail Merchandise Operations, Oracle Retail Home and Oracle Retail Insights Cloud Service.

Oracle Retail senior vice president and general manager Mike Webster said: “To compete in the modern retail world, retailers like Bealls need to be focused on financial performance while delivering a tailored brand experience that converts consumers into advocates.”

“With new insights from cloud solutions, we’re able to better understand our customers and make sure we make the right inventory investments that keep them wanting to return.”

The implementation will equip Bealls with ‘more information and insight to drive its channel strategy.’

Oracle’s PartnerNetwork Gold level member Logic Information Systems will deploy the solutions. The company has previously successfully implemented Oracle Human Capital Management (HMC) Cloud and Oracle Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Cloud.

Bealls chief digital and technology officer Dave Massey said: “Retail is a dynamic industry that must keep pace with the speed of fashion and continuous disruption from new e-commerce players.

The retailer operates more than 550 stores in 15 states. Its inventory includes casual lifestyle, apparel and home merchandise that are traded under the brand names Bealls, Bealls Outlet, Burkes Outlet, Home Centric, and Bunulu.
