The launch follows Bed Bath & Beyond’s announcement last month that it had signed a definitive merger agreement to take over The Container Store for $150m.

Bed Bath & Beyond president Amy Sullivan said: “By bringing together the strengths of these two iconic brands, we are creating a more connected shopping experience that combines inspiration, organisation, solutions and value for customers across every room in the home.”

Ahead of that, Bed Bath & Beyond merchandise is set to be introduced into The Container Store’s 98 stores across the country and on its e-commerce platform over the coming months.

The two companies have also outlined a longer-term ambition to operate more than 300 stores across several formats, encompassing co-branded outlets, neighbourhood stores, Bed Bath & Beyond Seasonal Living, and buybuy BABY sites.

The Fort Worth store combines The Container Store’s home organisation products and design services with Bed Bath & Beyond’s broader home essentials range under one roof.

Existing Container Store sections, including kitchen, bath and closet, have been extended to incorporate small appliances and textiles, alongside categories more closely associated with Bed Bath & Beyond such as dining, bedding and curtains.

The companies indicated that flooring, financing and insurance offerings are among the additions planned for the combined network in due course.

On the financial side, Bed Bath & Beyond recorded a 6.9% year-on-year revenue increase in its first quarter ended 31 March 2026, with net revenue reaching $247.7m – a result the company described as its first quarter of significant top-line growth in 19 quarters.
