US-based warehouse club chain BJ’s Wholesale Club (BJ’s) expanded its partnership with grocery delivery service provider Instacart to offer members same-day delivery in cities along the East Coast.
BJ’s members will now have access to thousands of items available for same-day delivery for lower member-only prices, including premium deli meats, cheeses, fresh produce, frozen foods and a wide range of household items.
BJ’s Wholesale Club senior vice-president and chief digital officer Rafeh Masood said: “We’re thrilled to bring same-day delivery to BJ’s shoppers.
“BJ’s is focused on delivering unbeatable value and convenience to our members; the expanded partnership with Instacart gives members a new and easy way to shop the club without leaving their home.”
The same-day delivery service will be expanded to all BJ’s Clubs by the end of April this year with a simplified fee model.
Instacart retail accounts vice-president Andrew Nodes said: “Instacart proudly joined forces with BJ’s Wholesale Club in 2015 to offer same-day delivery.
“We have seen an incredible response to the partnership and are thrilled to expand upon that partnership to be their exclusive partner bringing the same-day delivery of BJ’s premium products to even more households across the US.”
In another development, US-based retailing company Kroger has also expanded its partnership with Instacart to increase customer coverage area, adding more than 500 new locations this year.
