Carrefour Belgium has chosen grocery retail technology solutions provider StrongPoint to streamline in-store picking to fulfil scheduled online orders.
The selection to implement StrongPoint’s proprietary Order Picking system for all scheduled deliveries follows a rigorous request for a proposal process.
The system will be integrated into Carrefour Belgium’s operations with rollout reaching completion in 2025.
The retailer expects the new system to optimise operations, cut costs and provide more dependable customer service.
Carrefour Belgium digital and e-commerce director Jan Pollier stated: “We chose StrongPoint’s solution to fulfil our scheduled home delivery orders because their order picking system is responding very well to our needs when it comes to in-store grocery order picking. It’s purpose-built for handling grocery orders with exceptional speed and accuracy.
“StrongPoint’s deep expertise in grocery operations was clear throughout the process and gave us confidence in their ability to support our ambitions.”
