American supermarket chain Food City has selected technology platform GlobalWorx OOS-Alert solution for deployment across its retail locations.
GlobalWorx is designed to provide out-of-stock alerts and other store related issues. This will allow the retailer and its direct store delivery (DSD) suppliers to boost customer experience and increase revenue.
The technology firm uses a real-time actionable approach to support the DSD suppliers, to enhance the service offered to the stores.
Food City merchandising and marketing senior vice president Dan Glei said: “Our top priority is to meet and exceed the demands of our customers each time they shop with us, so we always want to address potential out-of-stock issues before they happen.
“GlobalWorx gives us a vastly improved ability to communicate with our DSD suppliers and ensure the right product is available to our shoppers whenever they want it.”
