American manufacturer Hershey has expanded its online Hershey Solutions portal by adding a product ordering feature for retailers.
Starting this year, convenience-store owners using the platform can access the online ordering capability to increase product speed to shelf.

By GlobalDataHershey sales planning C-store senior manager Gwen Andrews said: “We want to see our convenience store partners continue to grow and are proud to be investing in capabilities that will help them drive trips, build baskets and ultimately maximise sales and profits.
“Our Hershey Solutions portal allows us to help thousands of retailers each day, providing them access to category management insights, merchandising, new product news and now online ordering.”
Contracted retailers can also use the platform to access updates to Retailer Rewards rebate status.
The ordering feature now allows visitors registered to the Retailer Rewards programme to immediately rectify any compliance gaps.
Andrews added: “It is exciting to see Hershey Solutions continue to grow and there are even more profit-driving business tools that we’ll be rolling out in the near future. The online ordering capability is the first of many exciting additions to come.”
Established last year, Hershey Solutions is designed for convenience retailers to expedite new product launches and shopper trends.
Hershey has more than 80 brands, including Hershey’s, Reese’s, Kit Kat, Jolly Rancher, Ice Breakers, SkinnyPop and Pirate’s Booty.
It has more than $7.8 billion in annual revenues.
