Lagardère Travel Retail and travel retail technology firm Inflyter have expanded their partnership to digitalise the duty-free shopping experience.

The partnership, initiated in 2021, enables travellers to browse and buy a full catalogue of duty-free items using the Inflyter e-commerce platform prior to travelling.

It now covers Geneva, London City, London Luton, Luxembourg, Nice, Prague, Rome and Warsaw.

The expansion announcement comes after the companies successfully collaborated at Geneva International Airport.

It aligns with Lagardère Travel Retail’s digital strategy to diversify digital sales channels and scale up touchpoints to engage more customers.

Through this partnership, the retailer also aims to maximise the potential for non-aeronautical revenues for airports.

Through the Inflyter platform, travellers can discover, check availability and complete their purchase of duty-free items online before they travel.

The platform’s enhanced design and functionalities also offer new order collection and delivery methods, including smart locker collection, in-store collection, gate delivery and airport lounge delivery in some locations.
