UK-based cosmetics retailer Lush has been named as the top high street retailer in the UK for 2018, with a score of 81%, according to the latest survey conducted by consumer body Which?.

The results of the survey were based on customer scores received by the UK retailers for overall service and how likely they want to recommend it to a friend.

The consumer body included the opinions of more than 10,000 shoppers to complete the survey, and the scores are awarded based on how satisfied customers are with a shop.

According to the survey, the retailer generally offered sensory experiences such as helping customers in choosing products and first-class customer service.

Other factors include prices for everyday essentials, as well as scents and atmosphere.

Retailers who have been in the top ten positions include Smyths Toys, Screwfix, Toolstation, Bodycare, Richersounds, The Perfume Shop, Waterstones, The Body Shop, Dunelm, Ikea, and John Lewis.

UK-based high street retailer WHSmith was named in the last position with a customer score of 58%.

The study also noted that the retailer has been in the last positions for the past eight years.

The study revealed retailers that have received Which? Recommended Provider (WRP) status.

WRP status is awarded to retailers who scored at least four stars out of five for customer service and three for price.
