Supermarket Marino’s Market has selected Motorola Solutions and Avigilon to provide security for its two store locations in Alabama.

Under the contract, Marino’s Market has partnered with integrator American Video & Alarm to install a complete Avigilon and Motorola Solutions security system.

The security solution includes video management software, Avigilon Control Center (ACC), an Access Control Manager system and a suite of Avigilon cameras such as H4 Mini Dome and H4 Pro.

Self-learning video analytics cameras such as H4 Multisensor, H4 Fisheye, H4A Bullet and H4 IR PTZ are also part of the security solution.

The Avigilon video security system will be responsible for detecting customer theft, false liability claims, and shrinkage and procurement issues inside the stores.

Motorola Solutions Video Security Solutions senior vice-president John Kedzierski said: “We are pleased to offer Marino’s Market technology that helps them provide a safe and positive shopping experience to their customers, while also ensuring the proper handling of goods.

“The system has enabled the market to operate more efficiently and demonstrates the potential of Avigilon and Motorola Solutions security offerings within a busy retail environment.”

Additionally, Marino’s Market leverages Motorola Solutions CLS1410 two-way radios to allow store managers to communicate efficiently.

Marino’s Market serves more than 18,000 customers every week at its two store locations.

The supermarket has already witnessed security improvements in its stores. Shrinkage has been decreased by 50% since the system was deployed.
