British retailer Marks & Spencer (M&S) has expanded its third-party brand platform by adding shoe brand Clarks and school supply brand Smiggles to its childrenswear range.
The retailer has launched Clarks at 27 M&S stores and Smiggle in 60 stores across the UK ahead of the start of the school year in September.
M&S has also introduced British lifestyle brand Hype to more stores, as well as added youth brand Kickers and Jansport, a brand selling backpack and collegiate apparel, to M&S.com.
Brands at M&S are available in select stores across the UK, while the full back-to-school product range is available on M&S.com with next-day delivery or free Click & Collect service available at more than 700 M&S locations.
Customers can book appointments for Clarks’ measuring and fitting service in M&S stores across the UK via Clarks.com.
The brands also offer in-store services such as free measuring and fitting for footwear.

By GlobalDataM&S brands director Neil Harrison said: “We’re really proud to be the UK market leader in children’s schoolwear, known for our trusted quality and everyday value.
“Back-to-School is a busy time for families, and we want to make the shopping experience even easier for our customers by putting some of their favourite footwear and accessories brands alongside our strong schoolwear offer.
“This is just one of the many ways we’re offering our 22 million Clothing & Home customers more reasons to shop with M&S.”
The third-party back-to-school offering is in line with M&S’ wider ‘Brands at M&S’ strategy, under which it aims to offer customers access to selected brands and shopping advantages.
The company successfully tested its back-to-school platform in eight stores across the UK last year.
In February this year, M&S entered an online and in-store partnership with US-based skincare and make-up brand Clinique.
