Payment solutions provider Ingenico Group has been engaged by French fashion retailer Galeries Lafayette to develop its leather goods digital showroom for the latter's La Rochelle and Cannes stores.
The showroom features fewer products, with near field communications (NFC) tags and recognised by a reader embedded in a display table.
Through a web interface and large screen, customers can now directly access the Galeries Lafayette website and select from among various size and colour models.
Ingenico France managing director Guillaume Pascal said: “We are delighted about this innovative partnership with Galeries Lafayette.
"It shows our ability to support a major retailer in its desire to offer a brand new omnichannel shopping experience, which is a driver in developing turnover and fostering customer loyalty."
Following the selection, customers can log on to their Galeries Lafayette account and make payment on the corresponding Ingenico payment terminal.
